

Shirley Stone Racculia Daviau, 86, of Liverpool, passed away Wednesday at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Sherburne, New York, she resided in the Syracuse area for 68 years. Shirley worked as a Registered Nurse for Onondaga County Health Department before retiring in 1986. She was a communicant of St. Daniel’s Church. Shirley was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Racculia, Sr. in 1985; her second husband, Edmond Daviau in 2007; and her son, Frank Racculia, Jr. in 2006.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Edward) Dunn of Liverpool and Kerry B. Racculia of Liverpool; sons, Michael (Jane) Racculia of North Syracuse, Thomas (Patricia) Racculia of Brewerton, and Richard Racculia, Sr., of Syracuse; beloved grandchildren, Edward F. (Julie) Dunn, III, Matthew E. (Jennifer) Dunn, Kate Racculia, Thomas P. Racculia, Robert Racculia, Frank W. Racculia, Richard Racculia, Jr., Gina M. Racculia, and Alicia Racculia; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 8:15 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Daniel’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crouse School of Nursing.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital 1-8 for their outstanding care given to our mother during her stay.
