Anna Marie Gonzalez

Anna Marie Gonzalez passed away on December 31, 2013, at the age of 66. She was born on February 22, 1947, in Taft, Texas. Anna was a devoted and at times fanatical Spurs fan. Although most of her life was spent in sickness, she now is free from pain and worry and can watch her beloved Spurs from the best seat in Heaven. Anna was known for her smile and wit and she will be greatly missed. Anna will remain forever in our hearts and memories.

She was preceded in death by her nephew, Christopher C.M. Chavez; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Juan Aguirre.

Anna Marie leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Baudelia J. Aguirre; sister, Laura L. Chavez; brother, John P. Quiroz; aunts, Lupe J. Aguirre, Mary Alice Luera, and Antonina Cano; niece and nephew, Alexandra T. Chavez and Joseph Chavez.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 3, 2014, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Portland. Interment will follow the service at Taft Memorial Park.
