

Johnny Rodriguez was called home by God on Friday, May 30, 2014, at the age of 47. He graduated from Sinton High School, Class of 1985. He was a man of great integrity and had a heart of gold. Johnny was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #6943. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and was their number one fan. He never missed a game. Johnny also enjoyed softball and fishing. He had a great personality and unconditional love. Johnny was always your “go to” guy to get things done. When you needed help, he was there. Johnny loved his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews. He had a way of talking to them and making them laugh and smile. He will forever be remembered for his kind and loving ways.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Jose Rodriguez.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Janie Rodriguez; daughter, Victoria Rodriguez; son, Austin Valdez; daughter, Rubee Torres; two grandchildren, Marcus and Madisyn Maldonado; mother, Guadalupe (Juan) Torres; sister, Jovita (Joel) Rodriguez; brothers, Arnulfo (Laura) Rodriguez, Jesse Rodriguez and Ismael Villarreal.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow the service at Gregory Cemetery.
