Anyone who met Carolyn knew she was a blessed soul with a unique personality. She loved her family, church, and had a flair for political commentary. She enjoyed the study of the heavens, stars and the universe throughout her life. She was truly a free spirit, meeting interesting people was one of her favorite past times. Carolyn never met a stranger and would talk for hours with that perfect stranger. In her early years she was successful in food management and service. When she became a wife and mother, her focus turned to her children, raising them and sharing all her knowledge with them. She always said she wasn’t June Cleaver, she didn’t bake the cookies, none the less she gave her children all her love and provided them guidance all the same. A wonderful Mother, all in her own way.
Besides being a mother to her children, becoming a grandmother to Jaxson was at the top of her list of great things in her life. She wanted to show and teach him all the wonderful things she learned in her lifetime and more. Sadly, her illness took over, limiting her activities with him but her mind remained sharp, and she talked with him about important things in life, especially her faith and to always look to Heavenly Father for guidance.
Carolyn’s other past times included music, singing, dancing and boy did she love a corny joke…. She especially enjoyed being outdoors with nature. She sure loved a good steak!!!!!! It was always her favorite meal along with baked potato with sour cream and chives…. Although she was not able to complete her nursing studies, Carolyn enjoyed helping others, always providing assistance and service no matter what the need. This was an important belief of hers.
Carolyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was strong in her beliefs all the days of her life, dedicated to family, church and her country.
