

Funeral services for Charles Selden “Buster” Dry will be held on Friday, February 12th, 2016 at Reed-Culver Chapel with Brother Gil Hooper officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11th, 2016 beginning at noon and ending at 6:00 PM. Pallbearers for Buster include Johnny Dry, Artie Farar, Rocky Locust, Jordan Jumper, Sage locust, and Leroy Springwater. Honorary pallbearers include Paul Braun, PJ Bluebird, Jason Grasshopper, and Don Scott.
Charles Selden “Buster” Dry was born on June 15th, 1954 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Charley and Betty Lee (Cook) Dry. He attended school in Tahlequah. Buster was a man of many talents. He had spent time in California and appeared in several movies, and after joining the Screen Actor’s Guild, playing Native American characters, his last film being White Buffalo. He supplemented his income as a security guard for Giorgio Perfume. When he lived in the Tahlequah area, he spent the mornings gathering with friends at McDonalds for breakfast and a chat with some coffee, changing locations to Carl’s Jr. on Sundays. He liked to explore for treasure at flea markets and garage sales, chatting with fellow enthusiasts, collecting guns and figurines. He adored any time spent with his family, especially his nieces, nephews, and cousins, gathering to share a holiday meal, getting their favorite drink and delivering it to them at work, or just a quiet afternoon with a cup of coffee. He loved to chat and had a delightful sense of humor. He was so very proud of his Native American History, and always portrayed his characters with depth and emotion. He enjoyed the moments he had to its fullest, never taking a single minute for granted. He passed from this life into eternity on February 7th, 2016 in Tahlequah, OK with his family by his side. Charles was 61 years young. He will be missed.
Buster is preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Charles “Rock” Locust.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Charissa Lanae Dry of New Mexico, one brother, BJ Dry of Tahlequah,OK, one sister, Mary Jo Locust, his nieces and nephews, Rochelle Locust, Rocky Locust, great-great niece AhLena Rochelle Cypress, great niece’s Dakota and Chayme, great nephews, Jordan, Sage, Elias, Rocky Jr., as well as many friends and loved ones.
