

Mary Chloetta Ecker, born October 13, 1931 in Tulsa, OK to Dwight and Chloe Kiester of Tulsa, OK. She was born and raised on a farm, now 31st and Lewis in Tulsa, OK. She married Bill O. V. Ecker in 1948 and together they had 2 sons, Billy Ray Ecker of Tulsa, OK and Colonel Steven D. Ecker of Tulsa, OK. For 30 years, Chloetta was known as the “Keys Grandmother” due to her serving at Keys Public School as a volunteer. Members of the Keys community enjoyed seeing her every day at the school and kindly referred to her as “Noonie”, as did her grandchildren. She also served 9 years on the Keys School Board. She was a Cub Scout and Girls Scout leader in the community.
She is preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Kenneth, Ambrose, and Jack Kiester, and 1 sister, Betty Korne. She has 4 grandchildren; Christina, Bryan, Lori, and Eric and 4 great grandchildren; Dustin, Alex, Courtni, and Ashley. Chloetta passed away, as she wished, at her home in Park Hill, OK on Sunday, February 11, 2018.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Park Grove Cemetery at 1000 E Houston Street, Broken Arrow OK. Honorary pallbearers for Chloetta include MG Thomas Reese, Michael Kiester, Brian Ecker, Eric Ecker, SSgt Dustin Dreadfulwater, Drew Dreadfulwater, Robert Wise and Csaba Bazsa.
