Christopher Alan Petersen, age 60, of Hulbert, Oklahoma, passed away on January 24, 2026. Christopher was born on August 11, 1965, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Rodney Hugh Petersen and Arlene Myrtle (Spears) Petersen.
An iron worker by trade, Christopher worked in construction for many years. He was no stranger to long hours and hard work, and he took pride in making an honest living. Outside of work, he found his happiness in the simple things; fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time with his family. Whether it was a quiet day outdoors or time gathered with the people he loved most, those moments brought him the most joy.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Lrinda Petersen whom he married on July 27, 1984, and shared 41 years of marriage; his children, Julie Petersen, David Petersen and wife Kayla, and Amy Ruiz and husband Marcos; his brothers, Brian Petersen and Gary Petersen; his sister, Christa McCoy; his aunt, Allene Allison, who raised him and was a mother to him in every way that mattered; and his eleven grandchildren: Cadence Dunlap, Taylor Leggett, Aaron Leggett, Lulu Harvey, David Petersen Jr., Ry’Lee Petersen, Weston Petersen, Skyler Ruiz, Isaiah Ruiz, Nevaeh Ruiz, and Alexis Ruiz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Arlene Petersen; his son, Christopher Petersen II; grandson Mason Ruiz; his sister, Betty Doty, and his uncle Samuel Allison, who raised him as his own.
He will be remembered for his deep commitment to family and the memories made along the way, held close in the hearts of those who loved him.
