David Lynn White Sr., or “Pops” to his many grandchildren, was born on October 27th, 1961, in Dallas, TX the son of David Richard and Jimmie Sue (Grooms) White. He attended school then decided on a career in construction work. He was very accomplished at his job, from painting to excavating, David did it all. He was daddy to three sons and two daughters, Christie, April, David, Cory, and Seth. On July 22nd, 2011, he married his soul mate and his best friend, DeAnna Lyn Farar in Fate, TX. There was nothing he enjoyed more than his sweet DeAnna’s company. On a trip up from Texas in 2011, he fell head over heels in love with Green Country, the Illinois River and Lake Tenkiller. So the move was made here five years ago. David was content to spend time fishing the area lakes and rivers with his wife and kids. He was an avid fan of Stevie Ray Vaughn, a friend he knew since high school, and his music was usually playing in the house. He was constantly at home, making his famous country style ribs, cleaning house and taking care of his Jack Poodyhua (Jack Russell, Poodle Chihuahua cross)whom he affectionately named “Dude”. He was the biggest fan of his grandchildren, he thought they were the best! He kept steady company with his granddaughter Journie, and Dude, the three of them were a team. David was blessed with a great sense of humor. He was the kind of person that everyone could get along with, and a friend to everyone he met. He was kind, giving, and thoughtful. His health had given him many problems in his life time, he suffered from various lung ailments. This never stopped him from making the best of everyday given him. He was one of the biggest fans of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, winning the Super Bowl made him smile. David’s life was not without its hardships. He had battled with addiction most of adult life, and often wanted others to learn from the mistakes he had made. David was a member of the Full Gospel faith and had recently transitioned to the Messianic Judaism religion. For all he had planned to do in the future, God called David home from his labors on February 17th, 2017 in Tulsa, OK with his loved ones by his side. He was 55 years old. He will be missed by all the lives he has touched in his lifetime.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Richard White, one grandson, Brayson White, and his grandparents, Jimmy and Hazel Grooms and Richard and Opal White.
