Ella Mae Foreman-Snell

Kansas, OK- Funeral services for Ella Mae Foreman will be held on Friday, September 12th, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Fox Blackfox officiating. Interment will follow at Cloud Creek Cemetery in Delaware County. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Ella Mae Foreman-Snell was born on January 19th, 1938, the daughter of Dawes and Annie (Owens) Foreman. She grew up and spent most of her adult life in the Cloud Creek Community, Delaware County, OK. She was a dedicated daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family was the most important part of her life. Every one of her ten children and their accomplishments was a source of pride for her. Ella Mae loved to be out doors, gathering wild onion, or working in her garden. There was always a bargain to hunt for in the yard sales of the community and she loved an evening playing Bingo. Ella was a Christian by faith and a faithful member of the Cloud Creek Baptist Church. She loved her church family at Cloud Creek as much as her own. There was always time to spend rocking one of her 22 grandchildren or her 26 great grandchildren. Her health began to fail her and the Lord called his good and faithful servant home on September 9th, 2014 in Tahlequah, OK with her family gathered by her side. Ella Mae was 76 years old. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends and neighbors.

Ella Mae is preceded in death by one son, Billy Wayne Snell, two grandsons, Harold (Choogie) Whaler Jr. and Allan Whaler, her parents and her grandparents.

Those left to cherish her memory include nine adored children, Herman Snell of Kansas, OK, Ricky Snell of Colcord, OK, Ronnie Snell of Kansas, OK, Eddie Snell of Kansas, OK, Gordon Snell of Kansas, OK, Betty Whaler of Colcord, Mary Snell of Colcord, Annie Snell of Kansas, OK, and Kimberly Snell of Colcord, OK. She leaves one sister, Iva Lee Blossom of Colcord, OK as well as her many grand, great grand, and one special great great grandchild, as well as many cousin and a host of friends and loved ones.
