

Hulbert, OK- Emma “Eustie” Walker-Courtney, age 75, of Hulbert, OK passed away at her home with family by her side, on September 20, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday September 26, 2012 at the Reed Culver Funeral Home Chapel in Tahlequah, OK with interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery in Hulbert, OK. Visitation for Eustie will be Tuesday 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Reed Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah. The family will be gathering at the senior citizens Building in Hulbert following the graveside service.
Pallbearers for Eustie will be Seth Horn, Eugene Carey, Tyler Hawk, Michael Waits, Mike Murphy, and Daron Hudson.
Honorary Pallbearers include Mitch Carey, Randy Carey, Philip Carey, Jack Carey, Gary Carey, Steve Carey, Darrell Carey, Floyd Carey, Roy Carey ,and Leon Carey.
Emma “Eustie Walker was born on January 5, 1937 in Tahlequah, OK the daughter of Richard Walker and Farris Carey Stayathome. Eustie was raised in the Tahlequah area and went to school at Bagley Junior High School in Tahlequah which is now Bagley Hall on the NSU campus. Eustie had a big heart for people and she enjoyed the times spent working at Hulbert High School as a custodian. She loved to tease and Eustie had a wonderful sense of humor and was always laughing and making everyone around her laugh.
Emma is preceded in death by her father Richard Walker
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother Farris Carey Stayathome of Tahlequah, her daughter Glenda Walker Horn of Pittsburg KS, a sister Ethel Waits of Hulbert, her grandchildren Sasha Hudson and her husband Daron, Andrea Murphy and her husband Mike, and Seth Horn, her Great Grandchildren Callie Hudson, Hannah Bankston, Halle Bankston, William Murphy, Kenneth Murphy, and her nieces Tracy Carey, Donna Brave, and Shannon Cook as well as a host of other family and friends.
