Emman Lorin Drywater was born October 24, 1965 in Claremore, OK, the son of Lee Buck and Pearl (Wickson) Drywater. He was raised in a household with two sisters, Emma and Lora. He graduated from Muskogee High School and continued his education at Bacone College for studies in Mathematics. He went on to pursue his passion for serving others, working as a police officer in Muskogee before becoming a security guard for various casinos for many years. Emman met the love of his life, Sharon Kay Armstrong and have shared 15 wonderful years of memories. He was her “Sugar Bear” and she was his “Honey Angel”. They enjoyed fishing together and experiencing different places, traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Texas and Chicago. They were fortunate to be cast in the movie “Aloha” by Cameron Crowe and “Wildfire: The Legend of the Cherokee Ghost Horse” by Eric Parkinson which was filmed in Tahlequah. His time in Chicago formed his love for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. If he wasn’t watching sports, he could be found watching Andy Griffith, King of Queens and Seinfeld and would often play video games. He had a passion for food, there wasn’t much better than a Whopper with fries and a Dr. Pepper or Southside’s burger bag special and an ice cream. While in Hawaii, he and Sharon became part of Open Door Ministries with Pastor Benjamin Yuen and Pastor Omar, where services were held outside among God’s beauty. Pastor Yuen had the honor of baptizing them together in the Pacific Ocean, hand in hand. After his health no longer allowed him to attend church, he found inspiration by watching sermons by Joel Olsteen. On Thursday, July 25, 2024, Emman was called to his eternal rest while at his home in Tahlequah at the age of 58 years old.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lee Buck Drywater, his cherished daughter, Heather Lee Drywater, one niece and one nephew.
