

Funeral services for Johnny Lee Waterdown will be held on Friday, December 7th, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Elm Tree Baptist Church with Reverend D.J. McCarter officiating.
Johnny Lee Waterdown was born on October 20th, 1944 in Bunch, OK , the son of Jess and Josie (Simmons) Waterdown. He worked as a machinist and also in the oil refinery business. When he wasn’t working, he loved to watch OU Football. He was a big fan of music, especially Rock and Blues, with some of his favorites being AC/DC, Wilson Pickett, Native Flute Music, and Jimmy Hendrix. He loved to go fishing for a relaxing afternoon. The most important thing in the world to Johnny was his children, grandchildren, and his favorite canine companions, Hokte and Gracie. Johnny loved to watch the sun come up with a good cup of coffee and watch it go down in much the same way. He was thoughtful, kind, considerate and loving. He enjoyed the simple things in life, like time spent with those he loved. He adored his children, and they him. John passed from this life on November 30th, 2012 in Tulsa, OK, with his loved ones by his side. He was 68 years old.
John is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Earl scraper and two sisters, Ruby Scraper and Mary Waterdown.
Those left to cherish John’s memory include his five children, Teresa and Ted James of Okmulgee, Sandy and Kelly Pressler of Glenpool, Lisa and Joel Husman of Sapulpa, Shana Waterdown of Okmulgee and Jess Waterdown of Dustin, OK. John’s legacy lives on in his 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
