Kay Lynn Blossom

Kay Lynn Blossom was born on November 21, 1956, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Joe & Annie (Leach) Blossom. She passed from this life on Saturday November 27, 2021 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, at the age of 65 years and 6 days.

Kay graduated Locust Grove High School, class of 1976. After high school she attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She lived a full life in many places between Tulsa and LG before settling down in Tahlequah in 2016.

Kay enjoyed yard sales and thrift stores or anywhere she could find a good deal. She loved visiting or calling family and friends anytime she got a chance, and maybe going out to get something to eat. Kay loved gospel singings even more so if there was a hog fry. Kay enjoyed Ballou Baptist Church where she was a member. There was her feline companion, Mr. Big, and she couldn’t wait to tell you the latest antics he had pulled. Another favorite pastime was watching movies, and she really enjoyed old classics, westerns, and Disney movies. Any chance she had to spend time whether children and grandchildren was special to Kay, holidays, birthdays, any occasion would do.

Kay is preceded in death: by her parents Annie & Joe Blossom; three brothers: John Thomas Blossom, Bobby Joe Blossom, and Allen Wayne Blossom; three sisters: Frances Tibbetts, Mary Sue Booker, and Barbara McCall.

Kay is survived by two sons: Kevin & wife Bertina Lane of Tahlequah, OK, Erik Lane of Tahlequah, OK; One daughter: April Lane of Tulsa, OK; Four sisters: Arlette Vann of Tulsa, OK, Phyllis & Tony Bahe of Locust Grove, OK, Norma Weeks of Tahlequah, OK, Helen & Bob Willis of Palm Coast, FL; Two brothers: Willie Blossom Sr. of Locust Grove and Ricky Blossom of Locust Grove; She has five grandsons: David, Erik Jr, Koby, Kannon, Johnny and three granddaughters: Bella, Brianna, Rainna; and many more loved extended family members and friends.

Funeral services for Kay Lynn Blossom will be held on Friday, December 3rd, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Little Rock Baptist Church with Pastor Buddy Ross officiating. Her family will have a Wake Service at Reed-Culver Chapel on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 at Reed-Culver beginning at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Little Rock Cemetery in Locust Grove. Pallbearers for Kay Lynn include David Paulk, E.J. Rabbit, Koby Rabbit, Tevin Squirrell, Joe McCall, and Willie Blossom Jr, Her honorary pallbearers include Randy Bighorse, Kool Vann, Peanut Locancello and Brandon Frailey.
