

Larry Thomas Carter, age 61, of Park Hill, OK passed from this life on September 27, 2016 in Park Hill, OK. He was born on April 13, 1955 in San Angelo, TX. He was the son of Albert and JoAnn Francis (Crowl) Carter. Larry attended Tahlequah High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University. He also spent time in the United States Air Force as a Chemical Analyst.
Larry had a passion for science and aviation which drew him to the Air Force where he got the opportunity to travel to England. After the military he continued to enjoy traveling and visited as much of the United States as possible. In his spare time he enjoyed hanging around the house, tinkering on the computer, or strumming out a tune on the guitar. He also liked the opportunity to look at hot rods and old cars with the barracuda being his favorite of all the classics. Larry was a Christian by faith and attended the Carter Baptist Church just down the road from his house. Though he is gone he will never be forgotten by those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents James Ira and Bettie (York) Carter and Elmar Franklin and Eva Stella (Hulsey) Crowl.
Those left to carry his memory include his sister Mary Francis Pearce and husband Russell of Bixby, OK as well as many friends and loved ones.
Graveside funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Park Hill Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Reed Culver Funeral Home from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
