

Lillian K Osburn was born Dec 6. 1918 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was one of 12 children born to Ader Lee & William Robertson. She attended Dwight Mission School in Marble City and graduated high school from Salisaw. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Northeastern University where she met the love of her life, Lloyd A Osburn. She then went on to marry Lloyd on July 2, 1943 in San Diego, where he was stationed in the Navy.
In 1946 they moved to Watava, Oklahoma where she started her teaching career. They moved to Oaks, Oklahoma in 1948 where she began her 31 long and illustrious years. They also became involved in the Eben Ezer Lutheran Church. In 1957, they started their work with the Oaks (Cherokee) Indian Mission.
They had three daughters, Priscilla, Janet and Carolyn. The family enjoyed traveling.
After retirement, they were still involved in the community including the church, mission and school.
She was also involved in the senior center over the years.
She was a pillar of the community and an active leader of the church.
They were blessed with 8 grandchildren and she was fortunate enough to spend time with her three great grandsons.
Lillian loved and continued to travel with friends and family. She closely followed and cheered on all of the local sporting events and teams. She was an avid card (shark) player where she probably beat most of us sitting here today except maybe Daphene who gave her a close run for her money. She loved the outdoors especially tending to her garden and making her flowers bloom. She had a gift for crafting, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger and she impacted so many lives of all ages.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd and two daughters, Priscilla and Janet. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn, grandchildren, Nicole, Landon, Brandi, Jenny, Amber, Josh, Lindsey and Connor and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Tucker and Cade.
