Linda Marie (Stottlemeyer) Sanders was born on September 10th, 1956 in Washington, DC, the daughter of Clyde Wesley and Elsie (Schultz) Stottlemeyer. The family moved to the Cookson area and she graduated and then began her studies at Bacone College. She met her best friend, Michael Sanders and they were married on October 20th, 1984. Together they raised two sons, Dustin and Cody. Her most treasured part of life was caring for her husband, sons and her grandson Redd. She loved any chance she had to enjoy his company. She worked as a waitress, and possessed the smile that made your day and the laugh that made your whole day better. When she had a chance to be home, you could find her out in the garden raising some of the most beautiful plants ever, her green thumb knew no boundaries. She enjoyed painting, camping with her family at the area lakes and rivers, and weekend getaways with Michael. She never lost the chance to gather her family together for a weekend or holiday meal, they were her happiest memories. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, the friend that always took the time to really listen. Her health began to fade and she passed from this life on January 20th, 2022 in Tulsa, OK. She was 65 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her mother and father.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her husband Michael Sanders of the home in Cookson, OK and her sons, Dustin Michael Sanders of Cookson, OK, and Cody Wesley Sanders of Keys, OK. She lives on in her grandson, Redd Michael Sanders, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Memorial services for Linda Marie (Stottlemeyer) Sanders will be held at Reed Culver Chapel on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Loyd Kester officiating.
