

F. Lorene Lawrence-Butler was born on August 21, 1925 in Akins, Oklahoma the daughter of William “Bill” and Martha Ellen “Mattie” (Stuart) Mullen. Upon finishing school, she met and married Clarence “Slim” Lawrence in 1941. This union was blessed with two children, a son Bob and one daughter, Betty. Lorene worked as an Assembly Line Lead for Zebco Reel Company. Lorene’s favorite job was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an accomplished homemaker, raising large vegetable gardens and canning the produce, quilting, crocheting, and making wonderful meals for her family to share. Lorene was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. She was sweet, kind and generous with her time and talents. Lorene was a member of Church on the Move in Tulsa, OK. She loved to listen to Bluegrass Gospel and took time each day to show her love for the Lord by caring for those around her. The Lord called Lorene to her eternal home on June 11th, 2011 in her home with her family at her side. She was 85 years old. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and her brothers and sisters, Audrey, Lester, Nona Faye, Philip Marvel, Joe Charles, Edward, Jeanette, Chester, Willie, and James Mullen.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Bob Lawrence , his wife Mary and their daughter Sarah of Claremore, OK, and daughter, Betty Harrell of Wagoner, OK. She also leaves her husband of twenty five years, Cliff Butler of the home in Owasso, OK and one sister, Louvenia Sprabary of Krum, TX. Her legacy lives on in her nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 16 great- great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
