Margie Louise Kelley entered into this life on April 27, 1928 in Stilwell, OK the daughter of Lee and Eva (Hall) Rich. She was one of ten children to bless the home. Along life’s journey she met and married James Russell Kelley on January 18, 1947 and together they raised four children of their own. Margie was a very caring lady that helped everyone she could, and was “Granny” to everyone. Her door was always open to anyone that might need a place, and helped to raise many foster children over the years. Age never slowed her down, even in her later years, she could outwork those half her age. From building fence to raising babies. Her family will always remember her caring heart and hardworking hands. Regardless of how busy she would get, she never forgot how to stop and enjoy the simplicity of the outdoors, gazing at the flowers, or spending a little time taking care of the animals. Margie completed her journey through life on January 17, 2021 at her home in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 92 years.
Those she went to see again include her husband, one son Jackie Kelley, one brother Clifton Rich, four sisters Opal Leatherwood, Geneva Brannon, Elwanda Latta, and Lorene Blevins.
Left to remember her legacy include one son Eugene Kelley and wife Roxanne of Park Hill, OK, two daughters Pam Elk of Tahlequah, OK, and Lacie Kelley of Tahlequah, OK, a daughter-in-law Doreen Kelley of Welling, OK, Four sisters Greta Patterson, Erma Stone, Magaline McAnelly, and Wilma Miller, 13 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, as well as, a host of other family and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Reed Culver Chapel with Bro. Arnold McGee officiating. Interment will follow at Park Hill Cemetery in Park Hill, OK. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Reed Culver Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.
Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Pritchett, Christopher Walker, Alex Purma, Tyler Jones, and Glen Blakley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Miller, Terry Miller, Mike Hogner, Randy McCarter, Larry Pritchett, and Mark Hensley.
