

Paul Kessler, 79 died in Tahlequah, OK on May 31st, 2025. Paul was born in Maryville, MO on October 17, 1945, to John and Maxine Kessler. He was the eldest of 3 and spent much of his life in Edmond, OK.
Paul attended the New Covenant Church in Edmond as well as the Cookson Methodist Church. Paul dedicated the last 26 years and 5 months of his life to his sobriety as well as supporting people fighting the same battles. His service to others during that time is a legacy that has been evident by the outpouring of love for him since his passing.
He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Ned Kessler. He is survived by his sister, Christine K Chenoweth, his two daughters, Kimberly Kessler and Sarah Lawerance, as well as many friends he considered an extension of his family.
A celebration of life will be held at the New Covenant Church in Edmond on July 3rd at 10am. In order to honor his long history with the Liberty Fest Parade committee, please come decked in your best parade gear – casual red, white and blue.
In lieu of flowers, please reach out to an old friend you haven’t spoken to in a while to take them to lunch, help a person in need or donate coffee to an AA meeting near you.
