Randy Hornet was born on December 6th, 1971 in Tahlequah, OK the son of Julian and Wanda Lee (Dew) Hornet. He grew up with his brother, Carl, and attended school in Tahlequah, graduating from Sequoyah High School. He earned his living as a Housekeeping Specialist at the Outpatient Health Clinics. He also trained to be a Heat and Air Specialist, when he had a little down time, he loved to go hunting and fishing, and loved archery with Target Practice. He enjoyed watching a good football game such as Oklahoma Sooners! He loved to go on drives in the countryside, where he could just be closer to nature and breathe in the wonderful air. He possessed the smile that made you forget your problems and laugh a little bit. He always looked for ways to serve his community, and worked as an EMT and a Volunteer Fireman. A Christian by faith, he was a member of the Elm Tree Baptist Church, where he gave his heart to the Lord. Randy was always so very proud of his people, their traditions, and their many accomplishments. His family was everything to him, and together they would share a meal and a laugh or two. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from his many labors on September 30th, 2021 in Tahlequah, OK. He was 49 years old and will be greatly missed for all the love he shared with his family and friends.
He has gone home to be with his grandparents, Sanders and Mary (Dry) Dew, Wilson and Annie (Keener) Hornet, his Dad, Julian Hornet, two aunts, Edna (Dew) Jones, and Marilyn Dew, and one uncle Kenneth Dew.
