Rebecca "Becky" Jean Chuculate

Rebecca Jean Chuculate, or Becky to family and friends, was born on October 13th, 1976 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Jimmy Sawney and Cinda Chuculate. She was raised in a home with two brothers and three sisters, Diedra, Tasha, Dwight, Mollie and Jimmie Lee. She grew up in the Tahlequah area, and attended Sequoyah Schools. She always had plenty of friends to hang with after school. After she graduated, she started a career with the Cherokee Nation working as a Secretarial Personnel, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved her family and any chance she had to spend time with them was fine with her. She was the proud mother of two sons and two daughters, Taylor, Kelsey, Malinda, and Geronimo. She adored them. When she wasn’t working, she loved going to the creek or lake fishing, and finding a bargain at a garage sale. She always watched wrestling with her kids on Friday night, and crime thrillers the rest of the week. She made the best fried chicken, fried taters and biscuits you ever ate. Becky was a cut up and loved to joke around and pop dirty little jokes just to make you smile. She was a Christian by faith and attended the Keys Church of God when she attended. Her life was not without its fair share of hardships, she knew the pain of burying a child, her parents and the people that raised her from early childhood. Yet in spite of all this, she liked to smile and make others feel loved. She passed from this life on September 8th, 2024 in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 47 years and will deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Taylor Chuculate and wife Malinda Beemer Chuculate, her mother, Cinda Chuculate, the people that raised her, Dwight and Denise Greer, her daughter, Kelsey Vann, brother Jimmy Sawney, aunt Donna Chuculate and uncles Donald and John Chuculate.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Taylor Chuculate of Tahlequah and Geronimo Tidwell of Stilwell, and daughter Malinda Chuculate also of Tahlequah. She also leaves her brothers and sisters, Diedra Ward of Wichita, KS, Tasha Cook and husband Mark of Tulsa, OK, Dwight Greer and wife Jamie or Barnsdall, OK, and Mollie Scyffore of Tulsa, OK. She will live on in her grandchildren, Langstin, Brielle, Caden, Kenyon, Kenzaya, Stormi, Axl Chuculate and Lexi Vann, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Funeral services for Rebecca “Becky” Jean Chuculate will be held on Friday, September 13th, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend DJ McCarter officiating. She will have a visitation with her family present on Thursday, September 12th, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Barber Cemetery with her family.

Pallbearers for Becky include Tasha Cook, Mark Cook, Geronimo Tidwell, Clayton Keener, Stevin Frampton, and Taylor Chuculate.
