

Timothy Layne Lentz was born on April 29th, 1957 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Robert and Edith (Bitter) Lentz. He grew up in Tulsa with his brothers and sisters, David, Susi, Danny, Becki, Debi, Kevin and Megan. He attended Rogers High School and was active in Boy Scouts of America, where his dad served as his leader. After he graduated, he enrolled in the Spartan School of Aeronautics, graduating as an Airplane Mechanic. He met and married his best friend and running buddy, Karen Sue Fields on February 14th, 1992 in Tulsa, OK. Together they shared over 32 years of memories and adventures. When he wasn’t working, he loved to travel, and made trips to Hawaii, Tennessee, both North and South Carolina, and Florida. He liked to curl up on the couch while watching the Green Bay Packers play, and maybe spent time in the kitchen making his famous chicken. You always found him in the company of his favorite canine companions, Sister and Droopy Sam. A Christian by faith, he attended the Methodist Church. His life was not without his troubles, he had to say goodbye to his brother Danny and his mother and father. For all the plans he had for the future, Tim was called to his eternal rest on September 22nd, 2024 in Tahlequah, surrounded by those who knew and loved him. He was 67 years old and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother and father, his brother, Danny Lentz and his canine companion, Droopy Sam.
Those left to cherish his memory include his adored wife, Karen Lentz of the home in Tahlequah, and his brothers and sisters, David Lentz of Oak Park, IL, Susi Lentz Prather of Tulsa, OK, Becki Lentz Burgess and husband RJ of Claremore, OK, Debi Lentz Rogers and husband Larry of Skiatook, OK, Kevin Lentz of Tulsa, OK, and Megan Eubanks and husband Michael of Afton, OK. He also leaves his canine cutie Sister, as well as a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Memorial services for Timothy Layne Lentz will be held at Wofford Cemetery in Catoosa, OK, Friday, October 4th, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bill Holcomb officiating. The family is in charge of tributes.
