Tommie was the kind of man who felt most at home outdoors and keeping his hands busy. He loved fishing, hunting, hiking, and spending time working on motors and fixing things. Tommie spent much of his life working as a mechanic and took pride in being able to work hard and help others when they needed it.
Tommie had a compassionate heart and cared deeply for people, especially children. Tommie was known for being the kind of person who would help somebody out without wanting recognition for it. Whether it was offering advice, lending a hand, or simply showing up when somebody needed him, he was always willing to help however he could. He enjoyed the simple things in life, being outside, telling stories, sharing laughs, and spending time around people he cared about. He lived life in a straightforward way and left an impression on people through his actions more than his words.
Tommie was preceded in death by his son, Steven Hopkins. He is survived by close friends, Landon Ramsey and wife Becky, along with many others who knew him, cared about him, and will miss him dearly.
Though he lived a simple life, the memories he leaves behind will stay with those who knew him for many years to come.
