Victor Eugene Mouse was born on July 8th, 1957 in Claremore, OK, the son of John and Rosie (Fields) Mouse. He grew up with his three brothers and four sisters, Stephen, Roberta, John, Bertha, Cletus and twin sister Cleta and Rebecca. Victor was raised in a proud family that were members of the United Keetoowah Band. He worked most of his life at work with his hands, his last job being a mechanic. He loved to spend his off time doing a little hunting and fishing, and of course, gardening. He could fix anything under the sun as long as he had his hanging wire and duct tape. He was wild about any kind of vehicle from motorcycle to horseback riding, it made no difference as long as he was outdoors. Sports was fascinating for Victor, from OU football to car racing to playing a game of Native Marbles, he loved competition. His family made him happy just being near. He adored his family and loved to have them over for the day. He was quiet and thoughtful, enjoying the peace and quiet of time spent outside by himself. A Baptist by faith, Victor was a member of Crittenden Baptist Church. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from his many labors on April 15th, 2022 at his home in Locust Grove. He was 64 years old.
He reunites in heaven with his grandparents, William and Elsie Fields, and Sequoyah and Anna Mouse, his mother Rosie, father John, three brothers, Archie, Eddie and Cletus, and one great grandson, Jaxon Blackfox.
Those left to cherish his memory include daughter Julia Blackfox of Tulsa, OK, and son Esamuel Elkie D O’Field and wife Kelsey of Tahlequah. He leaves three sisters, Bertha Whaler, Girlie Huntley and Rebecca Yahola. He will live on in his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Stephanie Blackfox of Tulsa, Tiffany Jones and husband Dustin of Tulsa, Zakkaryus Ofield, Trinity Blackbird , Bryanna Ofield and Bianka Ofield all of Tahlequah. His great grandchildren include Malachi, Adrian, Elena, Saint, Chloe, Braylen, and Olivia. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
