Albert L. “Lee” Henderson, III, of Tallahassee passed away on December 31, 2015. He is survived by his mother, Doris Hawkes Henderson; aunt, Linda Parker of St. Petersburg; and uncle, Robert Henderson of Mountain View, CA.
Lee was born in New Port Richey, FL on November 12, 1965 and graduated from Florida High in 1984. He attended Tallahassee Community College and Florida State University, graduating in 1999 with a degree in Management Information Systems. Beginning his career with the state of Florida, he worked at the Department of Education and ended his working career at the Florida Center for Interactive Media at Florida State University as a web system designer.
An avid computer gamer and “Trekkie” all his life, Lee was also an Eagle Scout and a ten year member of FSU’s Marching Chiefs. While he enjoyed football, the halftime shows held a special interest as he enjoyed the intricate patterns of the marchers recalling his days as a Chief with this clarinet.
Lee will be fondly remembered for his good humor, endless puns, and his incredible knowledge of science fiction and trivia. He will be sorely missed by those he loved.
Lee was predeceased by his father, Albert L. Henderson, Jr., his grandparents, Albert and Grace Henderson, and Arthur and Edith Hawkes.
A memorial service will be conducted at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to a favorite charity.
