Barbara R Hough

Barbara R. Hough, 82, Tallahassee, Florida, born Christmas Day, 1928 in Charlotte, N.C. to Warren Spencer and Kate DuRant Richardson died January 28, 2011. She was a charter member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. Barbara retired in 1992 from the Florida Department of Education as a Data Entry Supervisor.

She is survived by her son, Otto B. Hough, III ( Jill Andrews ), two daughters, Nancy Hough and Kristin Godfrey ( Jim ) and her sister, Margaret Jean Brandies of Madison, Florida along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Her pride and joy in life after retirement became her grandchildren; Erin DuRant Hough ( Chip Blitch ), Joshua Warren Hough, Colby Spencer Hough, Amy Elizabeth Grantham, Lance Cpl. Patrick Grantham ( USMC ), Nancy Megan Godfrey and Spencer Bradford Godfrey, along with great grandson Wheeler Sheffield Blitch and great granddaughter Haylee Blitch. Outside of doting over her grandchildren, she had a passion for playing golf and bridge.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Otto B. Hough, Jr. & her parents, Warren and Kate Richardson.

The family request any remembrances be made in memory of Barbara to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.

Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, February 1st at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors immediately following the graveside services.
