Betty Ruth Porter, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
Mrs. Porter retired from the State Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her church family.
Visitation will be at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home on Riggins Road from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2013, with graveside services at 2:30 pm at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
She is survived by her brother, William B. Porter (and wife Mona); two sons, Donald R. Porter (and wife Selaina) and Billy Porter, Jr. (and wife Susanne); one daughter, Nancy Downing (and husband Don); eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy M. Porter, Sr.; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Leann Quick; great-grandson Austin Kelly Porter; and sister, Martha Lee Dethy.
