

Born on November 10, 1947, in Orlando, Florida, Bonnie was the daughter of Dorothy Caswell, Brad Caswell, and Robert Kirkland, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Carol Helander, and her brother, Ken Kirkland.
Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband, Fred Andrews, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage marked by love, humor, and resilience. She also leaves behind her children, Wayne Andrews (Susan), Ross Leonard (Caroline), Robert Andrews (Samantha), and April Schoen (Scott), each of whom brought her great pride.
She was a cherished nana to Andy Andrews (Jenny), Amber Hargarten (Fran), Chase Andrews, Easton Andrews, and Sonny Hicks. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, who brought her joy and renewed energy in her later years.
A 1965 graduate of Edgewater High School in Orlando, Bonnie built a long and respected career in human resources management, spending most of her professional life with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. She was known for her fairness, steady leadership, and ability to bring out the best in others.
Outside of work, Bonnie embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm. She loved traveling, especially with Fred, and found peace along the coast. Above all, she treasured time with her family, from holidays and simple gatherings to every moment in between.
Bonnie will be remembered for her kindness, strength, quick wit, and deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the many lives she touched.
Her family extends heartfelt thanks to Elaine Peters, her primary caregiver, and the team at Big Bend Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
A private funeral will be held on Thursday, May 28. Plans for a celebration of life are underway, and details will be shared soon.
