Carlos Alberto Martinez was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Cuban parents on October 11, 1946. He passed away September 30, 2025, at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mario and Gloria Martinez as well as his brother Steve and sister Anna Gloria. He is survived by his son, Carlos Raymond Martinez and Nephew, Vincent Oller. As well as his ex-wife Terry Martinez and stepson John Scott.
Carlos lived a full life. He worked many jobs over his life; Archaeology, stucco, tile, drywall, plasterer, working for the State of Florida in several capacities, but none did he find more rewarding than his work securing grants for Native tribes around the country.
Carlos loved animals, plants and people. In fact, it’s been said he never met a dog he didn’t fall in love with. He had more friends than any one person should be legally allowed to have. He will truly be missed.
