

Dale Pottorff, 94, of Tallahassee passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 in his home at St. Augustine Plantation Assisted Living Facility. Dale was born on September 25, 1923 in Casper, Wyoming to Elijah Vincent Pottorff and Goldie Pearl Carter Pottorff. He served his country in the U.S. Army for 33 years and was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the Army, he went on to become the head of the Computer Programming Department at Lively Vo-Tech. Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Patricia Farrell Pottorff. He is survived by his 5 children, Kendria Ellis of Tallahassee; Tom Pottorff (Cathy) of Monroe, Michigan; Bruce Pottorff (Julie) of Deckerd, Tennessee; Karen Bradley (David) of Tallahassee; and John Pottorff (Debbie) of Tallahassee. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as his sister, Wyoma Oylear of Glen Rock, Wyoming.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9th at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home at 1737 Riggins Road. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10th at Culley's with interment following at Roselawn Cemetery.
