Daniel Edward Samide, 88, of Tallahassee, FL died May 26, 2025, at Eden Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crawfordville, FL. Daniel was born June 28, 1936, in Denver, CO to Louis Jack & Ruth (Urquhart) Samide. Daniel attended Regis College and earned his master’s degree in English from Florida State University. He married Judith J. Rainer in Tampa, FL in 1972. Daniel was an English Professor at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa for over 40 years until his retirement. After retirement, he devoted himself to lovingly care for his wife until her passing. Daniel was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed reading and fishing and the Denver Broncos. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, wife Judith in March of 2025, sons, Christopher Lawrence and Jon Thomas Samide, brother, Louis Samide and sister, Lillian Pearson. Daniel is survived by his sons, Eric Samide (Crissy) of Franklin, TN and Mike Samide of Tallahassee, FL, sister, Helen Uskali (Ted), 3 grandchildren, Matt Brown (Britton), Butch Samide, and Makenzie Samide and one great-granddaughter, Evie Marie Brown.
