

Donald "Don" Parramore, 82, passed away on February 6, 2012.
Don was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 13, 1929. Don served proudly in the United States Navy on the USS Destroyer, Floyd B. Parks during the Korean War. Don's formative years were spent in West Palm Beach, Florida and where he began a lifelong career in law enforcement. Don moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 1963 and worked for the FSU Police Department until his retirement. Don was an avid collector of antique firearms, knives and Hummel Figurines. His true passion was for classic automobiles. Don's prized possession was his "Bandit" 1977 white Pontiac Trans Am.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 57 years, Doris Parramore.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen Peebles (Michael) and Debra Dean (Edward); grandchildren, Billy Powell (Gaby), Stephen Crosby, Chris Crosby, Kelsi Dean and Eddie Dean; great-grandchildren, Will Powell and Connor Powell.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Timberlane Rd Chapel on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held graveside at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
