

Dorothy was born in Estil, South Carolina, lived in Florida, California, and Kansas and had lived in Tallahassee for 13 years with daughter Pollye and granddaughter Sherri; member of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, member of H2U and the Church Collators. She loved doing crafts and always sent cards for birthdays and events to everyone. Dorothy had a very large extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Randy Dorman, her sisters Vera and Doris, brother-in-laws, Buddy Smith, Charles Young, Herbert Boone and Harvey Boone, brother Ronald Loadholt, sister-in-law Margaret Loadholt and nephew Raymond Peeples.
Dorothy is survived by daughters Pollye Janisse, Jean (Albert) Bowdridge, and Cathy Van Vacter and sons Robert (Karma) and John (Judy), Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Vivian Smith, Barbara Boone and Sally Boone as well as many nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren. Also survived by Patrick King, Steven Ives, Tom Vroegop, Michael Vroegop and Taffee Kedgley.
The family would like to acknowledge the help and assistance of TPD officers, 911 Paramedics and the doctors and nurses at Capital Regional Hospital. Also thanks to the patrons and management of Logan’s. They have all renewed our faith in people helping others and we only hope someday to pay it forward.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, 2015 Fleischmann Rd, Tallahassee, FL, on November 1st at 1PM.
