

Edmund L. Amiss, III was born June 2, 1949, in Dubuque, Iowa, and went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2011. He died in his sleep at home and was surrounded by family.
Edmund was preceded in death by his father, Edmund L Amiss, II.
He is survived by his mother, Rosemary J. Amiss, in addition to 11 brothers and sisters in order of birth, M. Michele Griffin, Harry W. Amiss, Tisha L. Fletcher, John F. Amiss, Steve F. Amiss, Thomas J. Amiss, Adrienne M. Sutton, David J. Amiss,
Andrea E. Young, Susan M. Amiss, and Richard D. Amiss. Ed is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, 10 great
nieces and nephews, and 1 great great nephew.
Ed enjoyed radio broadcasting and spent time early in his career as a reporter and newscaster for WDBQ in Dubuque Iowa. He also had a production company in Atlanta, Georgia, known as Gemini Broadcasting. Most recently, Ed could be found hosting and maintaining the Amiss family Website, keeping everyone in the know about current events in the family, the
nation, and the Florida State Seminoles. Ed loved the lord and seemed happiest attending Good Shepherd Catholic Church where he served as an usher and was a member.
He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, November 6, 2011, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, in Tallahassee. He will be laid to rest at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park.
