

Ed was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on March 17, 1951. He was a proud veteran who served his country in the Air Force until he retired in April 1990 as a Senior Master Sergeant. After his military retirement, he worked for the State of Florida in the Division of Elections.
An avid golfer, he found great enjoyment on the links with his friends. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Florida State Seminoles and rarely ever missed a football or basketball game. Wherever Ed was, there was sure to be lots of laughter.
He is predeceased by his parents, Odie and Sarah Kast. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Yvonne; his son, Brandon; his daughter, Jennifer; his sisters, Helen Jones and Teresa Steele; and his brother, James Kast. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Madison, Alexis, Andrew, and Addison and eight nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Culley's Meadowwood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, with a service following at 11:00 A.M. A burial with military honors will take place at MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm on the same day.
