Elizabeth Cook Glass

Elizabeth “Liz” Cook Glass passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 27, 1941, in Pinehurst, NC to Clyde and Evelyn Cook, Liz dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 63 years, Walter, and their three children.

Liz’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment grounded in her deep faith. Her dedication to children and children’s faith programs were dominate in her Christian beliefs. She loved holiday gatherings and any time she could spend with her family. Liz’s love for nurturing things was evident in her “green thumb” care with her plants and floral arrangements which she lovingly tended for over 5 decades.

She is survived by her husband Walter, children Kelly and husband Curtis, Eddie and wife Ann, Mark and wife Kathryn and grandchildren Libby and husband Isaac, Curt, Daniel and wife Brittany, Jeffrey and wife Cassidy, Timothy and wife Emily, and Emory as well as 3 great grandchildren, Addison, Emilio and Evelyn. She is also survived by her brother Clyde Cook and wife Mary, sister Linda Wrightson, and numerous nieces and nephews. All had a special place in her heart and were always in her prayers. A celebration of life for Elizabeth will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Grace Church of Tallahassee, 731 N. Gadsden St., Tallahassee, FL 32303.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Church or Big Bend Hospice who so lovingly cared for Liz in her final days.
