Dr. Eric Efrain Dueno, age 47, passed away of a heart attack on Thursday, September 3, 2015 while pursuing his passion of marathon training and running. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 24, 1968 to Hector G. Dueno and Fabia Baer Dueno. Eric attended Florida State University, the University of Central Florida, and was a Doctor of Chemistry at the University of South Florida. He was a tenured professor of chemistry at Bainbridge State College where he organized the running club, the kayak club, and the chess club. Eric published numerous chemistry papers and wrote a chemistry textbook. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and certified rescue diver.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father and one brother, Chris Dueno of Tallahassee. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home at 1737 Riggins Road. The funeral service will begin immediately afterward at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park.
