Ernest D. “Ed” Bass, age 65, of Tallahassee passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 9, 2015. He was born in Tallahassee to Donald W. Bass, Sr. and Addie Mae Barineau Bass on August 13, 1949. Ernest was a retired network technician with Century Link. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, racing cars, and riding motorcycles.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Donald Bass, Jr. He is survived by one son, Joe Bass; one daughter, Tisha (Tony) Eglton of Crawfordville; one brother, Ray (Sharon) Bass of Tallahassee; three sisters, Ruth Goodson of Crawfordville, B.J. Law and Gloria (Frank) Burke of Tallahassee; Koree, Antonio, Addilyn, Joseph, Rubecca, Shantaea, Taylor, and Aja Eglton, and Tiffany Bass; and two great-grandchildren, Zavion and Zariyah Eglton; and numerous nieces and nephews. We would also like to recognize a special friend, Lola Pouncey, and her son, Tyler.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Bible Believers Fellowship at 6341 Blountstown Highway of Tallahassee.
