

Ethel Graves Connell, 97, of Orlando and Tallahassee died Friday (6/24) in Orlando. Mrs. Connell was born in Cairo, GA, daughter of the late David Marshall Graves and Offie Byard Graves. She was devoted to her family, her friends, her church, and was a member of the Orlando International Worship Center in Orlando. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting.
Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Evelyn (Paul) Williams of Orlando, Mrs. Velma Matthew of Tallahassee; four grandchildren: Paul Williams, Jr., Audra Smith and Marcia Martin of Orlando, Cliff Rainey of Alpharetta, GA; eight great-grandchildren: Wes and Ethan Rainey, Carolyne and Jordan Smith, Teddy Tirado, Dylan Williams, Justin and Addison Martin; and one sister: Mrs. Lois Whittington of Tallahassee.
Services will be held Wednesday (6/29) at 11:00 AM in the Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Chapel, 700 Timberlane Rd. with the Rev. Paul L. Williams of Orlando officiating. Great grandsons: Teddy Tirado, Dylan Williams, Jordan Smith, Wesley Rainey, Ethan Rainey will serve as pallbearers and grandsons: Cliff Rainey, Paul Williams, Jr, Jonathan Martin, Ken Smith, and Robert (Bobby) Williams will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive guests from 10:00 AM until service begins. The family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of the Comforter, 605 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 or a charity of personal preference. Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home is honored to serve Mrs. Connell’s family.
