Evangeline graduated from East Carolina University, where she received her B.S. in Education. She taught high school in North Carolina and Florida for over 35 years. She served as a Deacon at Lafayette Presbyterian Church. Her loves were her family, serving the Lord, and teaching.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Buddy” Joyner, and siblings: Percy Baker, Catherine Vester, Ronald Baker, and Sudie Barnes. She is survived by her daughter, Angie (Mike) Wallenfelsz; son, Mike (Alicia) Joyner; grandchildren, Aubrey Marie and Micah Joyner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
The Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Culley’s MeadowWood on Timberlane Rd at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lafayette Presbyterian Church of Tallahassee.
