Evelyn was born on August 24, 1938 in Cottonwood, Alabama. After marrying William A. Mozley, Evelyn moved to Tallahassee and obtained her cosmetology license. Her career in cosmetology spanned over 50 years. She began her career at Suburban Salon, owned her own shop for several years, worked for Gayfers hair salon, finally returning to Suburban where she would retire from in 2016. Before her health declined, she loved walking with her friends and visiting the beach at St. George Island. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist church, and deeply loved her church family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Viola and Marvin Vann; brother, Dalton; and son, William A. (Andy) Mozley. Survivors include her sister, Francis Granger; son Jack Mozley (Suzanne); grandchildren, Lela Whitfield, Alyson Jordan, Andrew Mozley; and six great grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life on January 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
