
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church Woodville. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Woodville with private burial to follow at St. Marks Cemetery.
A native of Mamaroneck, NY, she was a long-time resident of St Marks and Woodville. Frances was retired from the State of Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. She was an avid Florida State Seminoles fan and enjoyed attending football games both home and away. She is known and loved as "Granny" to all of the girls that she helped to guide through Girl Scouts over the past 30 years. She enjoyed camping, traveling, bowling and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Evelyn Strickland of Wakulla, Elizabeth "Lee" Moulton (Gary) of Tallahassee, Linda Roberts of Woodville, Donna Commander (Bill) of Piney Flats, TN; six grandchildren, Wendy Strickland Shaw of Jacksonville, Sherry Strickland Kendrick (Jeff) of Wakulla, Greg Moulton (Letitia) of Woodville, Erik Roberts of Tallahassee, Kristin Commander Kaywood (Eric) of Kingsport, TN and Jason Kyle Commander (Angela) of Johnson City, TN; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett C "Tommy" Roberts; and son-in-law Wendell C Strickland.
