His memory will live on through his wife of 52 amazing years, Suzanne Crow Folmar; his sister, Susan Folmar-Cotter; his children, Christopher Folmar and Amanda Folmar; his grandsons, Jude Folmar and Luke Folmar; and nieces, Kelsey Jordan and Camille Jordan.
Frank and Suzanne met as undergraduate students at the University of South Alabama and they were married in 1969. Suzanne remained the love of his life until his final day on this earth. Frank’s career carried him through executive technology positions in Florida, Virginia, New York, Texas, Indiana and finally back to Florida where he retired from the Agency for Healthcare Administration (ACHA) in 2017.
Frank was a consistent supporter of the University of Alabama football team and was known to record every game so he could rewatch the ones where Alabama won. The games that didn’t have the outcome he preferred were quickly deleted.
His strong faith comforted him during the trying times of his life, and through his quiet generosity he shared his successes with others. Frank’s legacy of civility, loyalty, and gentleness will continue to inspire his children, grandchildren and those whose lives he touched.
He will be laid to rest at a graveside service to be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland, Alabama at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2021.
