Tiff and Tyler,
You have been through much lost in the last several years. I know that you will miss your parents but know that they are happy together again with God! Buddy, Joy Lynn, Peggy and I had so many laughs together - I will never forget that. Please know that both of you are in our prayers and thoughts.

Life without someone as special as Buddy will be hard, but those who knew Buddy, know that he would want only the best for his family and friends. Greetings, my sincere condolences to the family of Buddy Ferguson.  I met Mr. Ferguson through FCCD; he was always smiling and willing to help and had a kind word to share.    May God bless and keep you all.

Buddy was one of the nicest people I ever met. To have so many friends who loved you is the greatest testament one can have. His courage was and is an inspiration to us all.

God looked around his garden
And He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best. 

He saw that the road was getting rough.
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids

Buddy's love of life, family and friends is what I will remember the most. Tiffany and Tyler, your dad will forever remain in our hearts and his legacy will live on through the both of you.  Let God wrap His arms around you and give you a comfort and a peace that only He can give. Love you both.

Buddy was a great person and we were all fortunate to have known him. He will always be fondly remembered by The Department of Corrections and FCCD families.

Buddy was a man that gave of himself to everyone he met, he cared about you and made sure that you wear ok, this world has lost one of GOD's gif's and will be missed by all, Rest in Piece my friend.

You told me to never forget you and I promise you my friend I will not.  I have some great memories that I will carry to my grave with me.  You left two wonderful kids behind to carry on for you.  Rest in pease with your Joy.




Tiffany and Tyler,  our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Your Dad had an infectious smile, and brought laughter to any story including those related to his treatments. He will be remembered fondly and hope that you both know that God must have some special plans and needed him home.

One of our favorite times with Buddy, that shows his love for his friends and for a good time and his giving, unselfish ways, was when we were playing LCR at our house and Buddy won.  He was so ecstatic and excited to win - then without hesitation, he proceeded to dole out his winnings to everyone so we could play again!  Who does that? Buddy, We will miss you man !  Your courage, friendship, and honesty were just a few of the wonderful traits you shared with all of us.  It was a great honor to have worked for you, but the biggest honor was being your friend.  Tiffany and Tyler, please know our prayers are with you both.

I once typed a letter for Buddy Hugh Ferguson with a slight typo of an E instead of an H for Hugh.  He was so proud of that letter.  I really think he saw the typo when signing but let it go out anyway.  He indeed did have a great sense of humor and will be missed by me.

My deepest sympathy Tyler and Tiffany.  Although you can no longer see him, your Dad will always be at your side and his love for you will remain your guide.  God Bless.

Once in a life time a special person comes around and that was Buddy.  I worked with him at DC Central Office for alot of years, back when he was in inmate records.  His smile and laughter was there to brighten my workday world.  
My prayers are with you as I know your very special father has gone to heaven.

Buddy was a true Southern gentleman.  I will always remember him for his humor and intelligence.  He was a big help to me many times through the years.  He will be missed. All my sympathy for the family and friends he has left behind.

Buddy was my co-worker, my boss and my very special friend.  Buddy could make me laugh over some of the silliest things and could brighten my day just with his presence.  Buddy was genuine, supportive and inspiring.  I am thankful and blessed to have known him. Tiffany and Tyler,  please know I am thinking of you both and praying you can find peace through this. Buddy was a friend since high school.  He was an inspiration to all that knew him and will be missed by all.  His laughter and caring for others was always infectious to those around him.  Rest in peace my friend. To his family, may your heavy hearts heal during this most difficult time.

Buddy was my first supervisor at Mayo CI back in June, 1985.  He could be a hard boss but he was always willing to teach everything he knew about the Classification Records Dept.  He was of the "old school".  His work was important and the proof is in his 31 years with DOC.  I know from early on he loved JoyLynn and his kids.  He was missed when he moved to Tally to work in Central Office.  He was a person that made a lasting impression in your life, he will always be remembered.  My prayers go out to his family.  Always remember you were loved!

Buddy and I went to school together in Quincy and were best friends, after high school I chose to go a different direction in life, so I hardly saw Buddy after that and believe me that was my loss. A person could not have had a more loyal and devoted friend than Buddy.Those of you who were lucky enough to have had Buddy as a friend know what I mean.To Buddy's family my condolances and prayers are with you,he was a great friend,so I know he was a great father.Brenda and Tonya I am so sorry I know Buddy was special to you both,you are in my prayers.R.I.P.,my friend!

We only knew Buddy through our daughter and granddaughter (Michele Davis & Candace Turlington),  however he was a good friend and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.  Our deepest condolences to family and friends alike.

Buddy was one of the first people I met at the FCCD Training Institute and was the kindest, loving, and most sincere person I have ever known. He always made me feel special and loved. Last year he was the most inspirational person for me. Even when I was having a bad day, he would hug me and make me keep everything in perspective. He was a joy to be around. I for one will miss seeing him. 

I was lucky to know one of the finest individuals not only within the Dept. of Corrections and FCCD, but within the world itself.

A great co-worker, a great man, a great friend......

May the memories we have of Buddy always bring a smile to our face and warmth to our heart.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Though you are no longer here, your memory will always be with us. It is knowing you are with the one you love that brings us peace. You will be greatly missed!

I can remember when I started in classification back in 2000, I had a chance to be taught sentence structure by Mr. Ferguson. We've managed to interact several more times since then. He was always willing to help even if it meant he had to stop doing what he was doing to help you. Mr. Ferguson was always approachable, he made sure you understood his answers. He was definitely knowledgable in his field and he will be missed. The last time I saw him was last year this week in Destin. Well we can all rest assure, Heaven has one of us, I'm releived to know that "Buddy" will be counting my time served.

Buddy was my go to guy whenever I needed assistance and didn't know who else to turn to. I never heard him say or have a harsh word about anyone. He was a true gentle-man and an inspiration for all to live up to. My thoughts and prayers are with Tiffany and Tyler.  Lee Arnold

I didn't know Buddy well, but he was very nice, funny and always willing to help whenever he was called to do so. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, God Bless you.
