Janet Locke Packett

She was born in Willits, California, March 24, 1954. She was a 1972 graduate of Leon High School. Janet was very devoted to her family and friends. She worked for the family business, Locke’s Heating and Air Conditioning, for 27 years. She loved children, animals and all things Disney. She enjoyed living in Crawfordville because of the people and the water surrounding her.

Janet is survived by her husband, Matt; her daughter, Cortny Gruver; her parents, Charles and Louise Locke of Tallahassee; her brothers, Edward Locke (Robin) of Bainbridge, Anthony Locke (Glenda) of Tallahassee; her sister, Juanita Jacobs (Merrill) of Jacksonville; nephew, Kenneth Locke; nieces, Heather Locke, Nichole Sapp, Melissa Jacobs, Savannah Locke and McKenna Locke. She will also be missed by many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The viewing will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home 1737 Riggins Road on Friday June 10, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 11, 2011 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3705 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida . The interment will be at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park 700 Timberlane Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society and the Children’s Ministry at Fellowship Baptist Church.
