It's been 6 years since you left us now Jared. At times things are so much easier and then at other times it feels like you just died. My heart is still broken and will forever be broken. I share stories and pictures and videos with my kids so they will always know who Uncle Jared is. I can't wait until we see you again someday. I love you and miss you so badly. 

Ten years of joy and laughter have filled my heart and soul for an eternity. Thank you for watching over Lillian and I, we can feel your love and spirit daily. You will always be the love of my life. Love you sweetie. Riblet.

One day many years ago I came home to my apartment to see my roomate Mark dressed up in this full spandex costume with someone I had never met before. Jared was also in a full spandex costume complete with a mask, and instead of an explanation they both took a, for a lack of a better word, superhero stance. I kind of nodded and instead of going upstairs to my room I decided to sit on the couch and just watched what would unfold. Now I had never met Jared untill that moment, and evidently I did not know of the band "Aquanauts" but I was in for a treat. The band evidently does all of their concerts in these costumes that Mark and Jared purchased the previous night at their concert. Well after they jumped around the apartment for a little while (much to my great hidden amusement), Jared decided it would be great fun to go out side and run down the street in full costume. For those of you that don't know, Pensacola street is one of the busiest streets in Tallahassee, and it was lunch time so EVERYONE was out. As a friend looking back, I probably should of said "Hey wait Mark! Thats probably not a great idea." but I didn't and I'm glad for it. After their heroic run down Pensacola street, and honestly I am still surprised to this day they weren't hauled off to the crazy farm, I got to know Jared. He bacame one of my fondest freinds. When Mark suggested we all become roomates I instantly knew it was a great idea. We had some of the greatest memories of my life in that house. When I decided to move to Oklahoma Jared called me every other week. His true compasion to his freinds, his love for his family, the long political talks about how great Obama is(slightly sarcastic there), and just his laugh will be just some of the things I will miss most of Jared.

It just doesn't seem real, but as I read this obituary, I'm reminded of the sad reality. I grew up with the Evelos---Jared, Shelley and I are close in age and often spent alot of time together at church, firesides, sitting next to each other while eating tons of saltine crackers during stake/general conferences, many joyful car rides, and play dates especially at their home, exploring the woods and jumping over the nearby creek. I remember the jokes, laughs and fun times we had as kids/teens. Jared was always kind to me and treated me like a sister. I cherish my times with the Evelo family and it is heartbreaking to hear about Jared's passing. Jared, you are missed! I'm thankful that our lives crossed and will remember you, always. 

Evelo Family, I care about each of you and pray that God's love will warm your hearts and comfort you during this difficult season. I hope that His peace surrounds you and sustains you. My family and I love you, and we are praying for you. God bless.

I had the pleasure of working with him at DOC and DEP. He was so kind and helpful. At DEP we shared stories about his new baby girl and my Toddler boy. He will be very much missed by his Co-workers from both state agencies. My heart breaks for the Evelo Family!

Jared was always a loyal friend and I already miss him greatly. I'll never forget riding down the road listening to punk rock or planning our next campout prank. We had some really good times and those will always be great memories. Jared has many, many friends for a reason, and there have been so many times over the years when I met someone who worked with, was friends with or somehow met Jared. They always had the same thing to say about him and I echo their words: that he's an awesome guy who made anyone feel like a close friend. I'm deeply saddened by his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I am so sorry for your loss.  While I haven't kept in touch with Jared over the last few years, I will miss him.  I was Elder Evelo's second or third companion while we were both missionaries in the Colorado Denver North Mission.  We lived in a log apartment complex in Longmont, Colorado near a chicken factory.  One my most vivid memories from my time with him was that Jared was so frugal that all he ever bought was oatmeal.  For breakfast lunch and dinner it was always oatmeal.  I don't even think he had milk or sugar or raisons in it, just oatmeal.  I heard that he saved up all of his money over the mission and then one day decided that he was going to use it all for a minidisc player.  He was a great missionary and a great friend.  We had a lot fun together and it was nice to have him by my side for that period of time.  
I am again so sorry for your loss and I pray that you will be comforted and provided a measure of peace in this most difficult of times.

I got to know Jared's wife when my 2-year old son was in the hospital with breathing difficulties. She took good care of him - I was so grateful. My love and support now goes to her and to her daughter. Our family loves the Evelo clan and we are thinking of all of you at this time.

I am so grateful that Jared was in my life and the life of my family.  When Jared went on his mission, he left footsteps to follow for all those young men that were just a bit younger than he was.  When Bill came back from the skiing trip to Utah, one of his favorite stories was the surprise visit to Jared on his mission.  Our hearts and prayer are with all of those who are closest to him.  There will be a sweet reunion, but being separated is so very hard.

It was an honor to stand beside the two of you as you first began as a family the day you were married. An even greater blessing was when we shared in the joy of the birth of our first born children..Jared and Candace.  My heart aches for you both...but also thankful that you still have a very special part of Jared in your beautiful baby granddaughter. A friend told me once that also lost a son... she didn't lose him...she knew right where he was...as you do with Jared. He is sitting with our God as his Angels prepare him to be the guardian Angel for Lillian as she goes through life.
