A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Wildwood Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church in fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice or Alzheimer's Project of Tallahassee.
Jean was born in Joplin, Missouri, and resided in Annapolis, Maryland for twenty years prior to moving to Tallahassee six years ago. She graduated from Connecticut College for Women and received her Masters Degree of Social Work from the University of Maryland. Jean was licensed as a clinical social worker and had a private practice located in Annapolis where she practiced marriage and family therapy touching the lives of many. She attended Wildwood Presbyterian Church. Jean was an accomplished ballroom dancer, artist, and a pianist.
Survivors include one son, David King Driggers of North Potomac, Maryland, two daughters, Diane D. (John) Schmidt of Tallahassee, Lani L. (Paul) Bernier of Great Falls, Virginia, eight grandchildren, Dan, Tom, and Marie Bernier, Ryan, Matthew, and Kristy Schmidt, Samantha Schlosburg, Sanda Pauletti, one brother, Raymond (Barbara) Hallows of Princeton, N.J., and her former husband, Wendell Driggers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
