She is survived by her loving husband Frank Menge, Jr., stepsons Josh Menge of Florala, AL, and John Menge of Tallahassee; her brother J.T. Williams, Jr., of Stockbridge, GA, and sisters Betty King of Tallahassee, FL and Miriam Rainwater of Calhoun, GA; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and two aunts. Jewell was preceded in death by her Father, J.T. Williams, Sr. and her mother, Ruby Mae (Craft) Williams of Tallahassee, FL.
Jewell was known for her laugh, friendships with so many, her love for life and her Lord. Jewell graduated from Leon High School, attended FSU, and Physical Therapy school in Virginia. At the peak of her career, she served as Chair of the Department at Gulf Coast Community Hospital. She and her husband were both active members of the Pilot Club of Bay County. They have been active members of Callaway Baptist Church for many years, and their church family has been wonderfully supportive to Jewell and Frank.
She loved music, and getting together with friends for fish fries, and fellowship. Her nieces and nephews had much fun visiting with her and Frank in Panama City in the Summer, and her home was always open for sitting on the porch and good conversation over coffee. She was always positive, encouraging and gave wonderful advice. If you were in pain you could call "Dr. Menge," as we called her sometimes, for an attentive ear.
She was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. She is now in heaven singing with those who've gone before.
Family visitation will begin at 12:30, receiving friends at 1:00, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Tallahassee, FL, with a service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.CulleysMeadowWood.com for the Menge family.
