
Joan Poulos Seddon of Tallahassee, FL died peacefully at her home on Friday, November 12, 2010, after a long battle with lung disease. She was surrounded by her husband and children as she was welcomed into the Lord’s arms. She was 69 years old.
She was born on January 3, 1941, in Hempstead, NY to Jospehine Fuzia Poulos and the late James Poulos. She is survived by her husband John J. Seddon, her mother Josephine Fuzia Poulos, and her children Bobby (Judy) Waas, Cheryl (Richard) Moeller, Kerri (Erik) Barnes, Kimberly (Abram) Dale, Karen (Matthew) Ganovsky, and Kevin (Dianna) Seddon. She is also survived by two brothers James Poulos and Steve Poulos, three sisters Ann Ferme, Marie Scanlan and Susan Poulos. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and one great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her father James Poulos, an infant daughter Debra Waas and infant son Edwin Waas, a brother Rudy Poulos, and her beloved grandson Brandon Moeller.
She was a homemaker for many years and enjoyed cooking, traveling, spending time with her children and grandchildren and perfecting her beautiful garden. She was a long time member of Beta Sigma Phi.
A viewing and service have been scheduled for Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home on Timberlane Road in Tallahassee, FL. The viewing hours are from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and the service officiated by Pastor Bob Tindale will begin immediately thereafter followed with a graveside interment. Palbearers will be Kevin Seddon, Richard Moeller, Mathew Ganovsky, Erick Barnes, Abram Dale, and Anthony Borzello. A celebration of her life will take place at her home afterwards. Family and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brandon Moeller Memorial Foundation at the Community Foundation of North Florida, 1621 Metropolitan Blvd., Suite A, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
