
J. Dudley Crabb, Jr. passed away September 30th, 2015. He was the son of the late J. Dudley and Ouida Crabb. He was born in Ashburn, Ga on September 10th, 1929. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Lake City, Fl. where he graduated high school. He briefly attended Florida State University before serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. During his Air Force service, he met Eunice Niolet and they were married in 1954. They returned to FSU where he completed his degree in Economics. Upon graduation, he was recruited to open a State Farm Insurance agency office in Perry, Fl. After successfully establishing that agency, he was asked to help others establish their own agencies as a State Farm district manager. They moved to Melbourne, Fl. in 1961 where he enjoyed a long career. He was loved by those he trained, respected by his peers, and active in his community. After his retirement, he and Eunice spent several years happily traveling across the country in their motorhome meeting new friends along the way.
He was predeceased by his wife, and is survived by his son Roy (Jana) of Chapin, SC and daughter Jan Smith (Hal) of Tallahassee, FL; and one sister, Carole Torrey (Ben) of Jasper, Ga. Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home at 1737 Riggins Road with funeral services beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Humane Society or the National Parkinson Foundation.
